The hands-on path to .NET on embedded
A structured learning kit built for educators teaching .NET on embedded hardware and engineers picking up TinyCLR for the first time. Real C#, real Visual Studio, real components — guided by a step-by-step eBook through sensors, displays, and a robot.

A structured course, not a quickstart
The Experimenter Kit is designed for learning the platform — not for evaluating it for a commercial project. Each experiment builds on the one before, introducing concepts in an order designed for retention. The companion eBook reads like a textbook, not a README.
What you'll do as you work through the course:
- Read real sensors
- Control LEDs and motors
- Drive displays
- Talk to peripherals over GPIO, ADC, PWM, and signal decoders
- Build connected devices that publish data
Evaluating SITCore for a real project? Start with a Development Board instead. The kit's strength is structured learning; the Dev Boards have the full peripheral set and debug headers for serious evaluation.
What's in the kit

FEZ Bit, BrainClip, and BrainBot
The SITCore FEZ Bit is the brain of every project — deploy and debug from Microsoft Visual Studio using the included USB cable.
The BrainClip accessory pack adds multiple circuit modules that connect to the FEZ Bit using alligator clip wires. GPIO, ADC, PWM, signal decoders — the variety lets you cover many embedded concepts without rewiring.
With minimal assembly, the BrainBot robot adds onboard sensors and motor control — the moment code starts moving real hardware is the moment the concepts click.

Everything in the box
- FEZ Bit (with WiFi, color display, microSD)
- BrainBot robot assembly
- Rechargeable battery for the robot
- Color LED light
- Color LED ring with 8× individually controllable lights
- Distance sensor
- Buzzer speaker
- Red button
- Green button
- Sound sensor
- Analog rocker module
- Motion detector
- Infrared receiver
- Infrared remote control (battery included)
- 10× alligator clip wires
- Reusable case
- USB cables
Companion eBook

C# for IoT and Robotics
A structured eBook that reads like a textbook — hardware concepts explained alongside the C# code that controls them. Each chapter pairs with a kit experiment so students and engineers learn by doing, then read to understand why. Free PDF, included with the kit.
