The base of this module is CY8C9560A IO extender chip. A single socket from mainboard will add 60 inputs/outputs with interrupt capability. Also, 16 of these pins can be PWM signals. The signals with PWM are exposed on header-placement so it is easy to add standard RC servo motors.
Note 1: The PWM outputs are 8-bit resolution. This provides 255 levels of power when dimming LEDs or controlling brushed motors. For servos, a full motion of servo has about 12 steps. If you need more than 12 steps from min to max, consider Pulse InOut module instead.
Note 2: Inputs are 3.3V (not 5V tolerant). Outputs can source up to 10mA and sink up to 25mA each. See CY8C9560A datasheet for more details http://www.cypress.com
