I seem to have a problem with my board (USBizi-DevSys rev 1.1). I connect the board to the PC via USB and windows prompts me to load the driver. After loading the driver (debugging driver) I open MFDeploy and select USB from the dropdown. I see USBizi_USBizi in the dropdown box. When I click on the ping button it appears that the device does not respond and after some time I unplug the USB and MFDeploy responds with "Error: No responce from device"

I have tried to access the bootloader by connecting BL# to GND before plugging in the USB cable but that does not seem to work either.

I notice that both LED1 & LED2 are on continuously.

Am I doing something wrong? Is the device damaged?

Any help would be apreciated,

Thanks Craig.

If the device is new then it is probably not damaged but if it was working and it stopped then maybe it is damaged.

You need to connect BL to ground and run the device, windows will ask for new drivers (loader drivers)...then you can access the loader using HyperTerminal. Use E command to erase all first

It does not ask for drivers when I connect BL to ground, but windows does recognise the device (and loads the debug driver). Does that not mean that the processor is running? Does the processor not identify itself to windows, so that windows knows which driver to load?

Windows shouldn't load the debugging driver. It is loading a loader driver. You should have now a new COM port on your PC...use hyper terminal like the manual describes
