When an OEM using your uALFAT chip or your uALFAT-SD in our product ,
do I have to obtain a HALA license?

You shouldn't need it but it doesn't hurt to check with them

uALFAT uses SD in SPI mode which is open

We have contacted the SD association and they are saying that end products must be licence by end products and they prefer if the maker contact them directly for details.
So, you should contact them to make sure you need it or not
