I noticed some older posts and tutorials that mentioned Microchip's TCP/IP stack. Was this ever implemented? Is it currently supported? Thanks.

Our project is based on the USBwiz and we would rather not have to port it to a different device just to add TCP/IP interface. I'm wandering if we could use the WIZ812MJ module (or similar) that was used in the USBizi example with the USBwiz?

USBizi and USBwiz have similar names but they are completely different. You should use USBizi on your new designs.
