PIC to SD interface

I am looking into developing a product that will allow me to interface a PIC to an SD card that would allow me to use the SD card as storage for the PICS sensors.   There may be a need for the Pic to access the data in the future through the same interface.  I do not care what format of storage is used.  Does anyone have any suggestions to what product might work for this and has someone done something similar that has some basic specs.

uALFAT might be your best choice. Plus the storage is in FAT system as an advantage! You can get the USBFAT development system which already has a PIC, uALFAT-SD and a working example.

I was looking for the examples and interfacing the the controller for sending and receiving information to the SD card.  Can you give me the URL for the example you were referring too so I can confirm this is what I would need.
