We seem to get this question a lot so we will keep this up so every one can read it.

Do I need the development system or I can save some money and just use the module?
The development system gets you started very quickly and making your own board would take a lot of resources and will probably cost more than our development system. The schematics for the development system is on the website if you want to make your own.

If you choose to go with the module alone, you must have a full understanding of electronics and good background or creating circuit boards. We do not provide support if you mount the module on your own board and it is completely dead. On the other hand, we will be more than happy to provide you will all necessary support if the system boots up.

On side note, the module can be hand soldered on a simple 1 or 2 layer board. Obviously need some experience in soldering.

I have bought the dev kit and it's great. Now I want to deploy my application on the Embedded master module (the tiny board) with or without LCD but I didn't find any information on how to connect this board to the USB cable I used to deploy on the dev kit.
Can you provide info on this connection?
Thanks

You only need a USB cable and 4 wires Smiley we handle all the rest!

The schematic of board you have is online so you can see how everythign is connected plus the manual have the pin out of the module as well.

also you can use Embedded Master Breakout board to easily expose Embedded Master module connections

Excuse my questions, but, to program the Embedded Master of the developement kit, I use the USB cable connected to port VCOM1 of the kit. If I look a the schemas, I see that this port is connected to the Embedded Master itself through a FT232R which makes the USB/UART convertion.
Therefore I suspect that if I want to program directly from my PC an Embeded master (not a develeopment kit), I have to add the FT232.
Am I wrong?

This chipset is Serial-to-USB. On EM, it is just a Serial port that you can expose to the PC or have a Serial-To-USB converter, so you can use a USB cable

you can use RS232 converter if you like to it through PC COM port directly

this thread might give you some information that might help you:
